About Kelly
Kelly L Ravenel is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#51439), who has been working with clients in the San Francisco Bay area for the last ten years. She has had trained in several modalities of psychotherapy including: analytic, somatic, trauma based, cognitive, mindfulness, bioenergetics to name a few. After fourteen years of teaching yoga her passion for teaching has moved into her love of psychotherapy.
Kelly most recently assisted John P. Conger in a two year training for therapists: 450 hour Ground Seminar and Advanced Seminar in Analytic Somatic Therapy/Bioenergetic Analysis (ADD LINK). Having developed their working relationship over the last ten years she assisted Dr. Conger in Sicily, Italy where they presented a three hour workshop together at the International Institute of Bioenergetic Analysis, 2013 (ADD LINK). Kelly is working toward becoming an international trainer in Bioenergetic Analysis and looks forward to beginning a new training group in the Analytic Somatic Therapy Training Institute in 2014. Kelly is the treasurer on the board for the Northern CA Bioengetic Society, and the Dean of Students on the board for the Analytic Somatic Therapy Training Institute.
Prior to becoming a Therapist, Kelly held several positions in the more traditional business environment including Product Manager in Textile Manufacturing, Supply Chain Manager for a .com focused on Holistic Health, and a Senior Merchandise Analyst for a California Retailer. Through each of these positions, I gained valuable experience in business finance, thriving in a competitive marketplace, communicating effectively, and leading teams.
